State Representative Trevor Drown, a fifth generation Arkansan and 40-year resident of Pope County, has announced his candidacy for the Arkansas Secretary of State.   He was first elected State Representative in 2014.

Trevor has proven and continues to demonstrate his commitment to serving through his military and community participation. He is dedicated to the overall quality of life in Arkansas and is seeking the Secretary of State position as a means of continuing that service to the residents of our state.

Trevor graduated from Russellville High School and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Arkansas Tech University in 2001. His education has broadened during his 25+ years of training in the United States military.

His career experience includes 27 years with the United Parcel Service (UPS), and 15 years as owner operator of a small business. Trevor maintains reserve status with the Army National Guard, where he continues his military service as a Master Sergeant in the 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Training Detachment. He also actively works the family’s 225-acre timber farm.

Trevor has served in Afghanistan and South Sudan as a Green Beret with the 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group, Airborne. He has earned many decorations, including the Bronze Star for Service and Army Commendation Medal for Valor.

Besides the cherished role of a family man as well as roles as a businessman, an Army National Guardsman, a timber farmer, and a State Representative, Trevor makes time to enjoy seasonal outdoor activities in the Natural State such as hunting and fishing.

In addition to his military service, Trevor maintains active memberships with the American Legion, Dover Chamber of Commerce, Arkansas Cattleman’s Association, National Rifle Association, and the Special Operations Association.

Trevor and his wife, the former Kara Cochran of Dover, and their two children, Ayden and Ella, reside in Dover.  Kara is a graduate of Dover High School and is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Marketing Management. The Drown family are active members of Victory Missionary Baptist Church where Kara is involved with the Awana kids program.
